Tom Fruin

Tom Fruin makes large steel houses made out of plexiglass tocreate amazing light and color effects.

Meat Sculptures.

Sculptures are created out of pieces of ground up meat and steaks. Dominic Episcopo's work is really interesting and somewhat has a double meaning with his artwork being made out of meat and having a political style.

Stove Top Planets

Christopher Joanssen has taken on a personal art project to photograph the bottoms of worn out frying pans. While this idea sounds strange, the images he's photographed resemble strange distant planets and moons.

Nick Walker

Graffiti art or street art is becoming more popular. Nick Walker combines free painting and stencil art into the streets of big cities. Nick Walkers art has a real sense of emotion when you see it. Walker says, " I try to add an element of humor or irony to some paintings to add a little light relief to the walls. Painting is a form of escapism for me and if my work allows the spectator to do the same thing, then I’ve achieved more than I set out to do.

Screws?

Andrew Myers creates three dimensional portraits out of hundreds of screws. Myers uses both paint and the length of the screws to show depth in his portraits. Just the images alone are amazing but I think being able to see one of these sculptures in person is the only way to really appreciate their true beauty.

Bendable Phones

This could be the future of phones that fold up like a wallet. I could see this technology being used with TV's. Imagine having a 40" television in your back pocket and then taking you and being able to watch it where ever you wanted.

Video Painting

A new innovative way to use video projection, painting and architecture.

3D Immersion Technology

New 3D technology that could be implemented into videogames. The article can be found here.

SkinPut

I could see this technology in the future becoming of everyday use. Possibly the technology being put into your brain or eyes so you could just look down at your forearm and have access to all your wireless devices. To take this idea even farther I could see this technology taking the place of television where the image is beamed on to a wall a body part or as a hologram.

WiiSpray

WiiSpray is like a giant interactive computer screen. Instead of being restricted to a small computer screen WiiSpray allows users to interact with a giant monitor or projector to create digital art on a large scale.

Sketches into Renders

Researchers have developed a program that lets you sketch out a simple drawing and turn it into a fully rendered image. Even though this program is still in the early developments, I think it looks promising and almost looks easier to use than photoshop.

Amazing Building Projections

Found this amazing video of 3D projections on buildings by a company called NuFormer Digital Media. In the video below they use several projectors to create realistic 3D illusions on the face of buildings. I could see this technology really exploding in the near future for light shows, concerts, special events and as a digital art medium.

Transparent Bubble Rooms

Pierre Stephane Dumas offers those who wish to sleep under the stars a chance with a little home away from home. The "bubblehut" and "bubblelodge" are almost like a giant see through tent. They allow users the luxury of sleeping in a bed and enjoying the comforts of home while also enjoying nature. If given the chance I would probably try and buy one of these "bubblehuts" just to see what its all about. I think Dumas should take his idea even farther and attempt to make an even larger bubble structure. Imagine a giant "bubblemansion" twenty feet from the ocean with all the accommodations of a regular home but in a giant clear bubble. You would be able to watch the ocean 24 hours a day while sitting comfortably in your "bubble".
